Ridgewood

Although it's a high-density area, Ridgewood is a quiet neighborhood. Recently, a slew of artists, musicians, and young professionals priced out of Brooklyn’s hipper neighborhoods have moved in. They’re attracted to its affordability and low-key lifestyle. Ridgewood isn’t a scene for nightlife but there is enough retail, restaurants, bars, and other amenities to keep most people happy. If you’re looking to dance until the wee hours in the morning or view an avant guard performance, they’re plentiful in neighboring Bushwick and Williamsburg. Fun fact: There are more historic districts in Ridgewood than anywhere else in Queens and it’s home to the Vander Ende-Onderdonk House, the oldest Dutch Colonial stone house in the City. Hot Spots include: The Seneca, Milk & Pull, Nowadays, Sundown, Trans Pecos, The Footlight, While in Kathmandu, the Factory, and Grimaldi Bakery.
