Description

Welcome to Apt 7C at the Manhasset, a 750-square-foot (approx.) one-bedroom, one-bath residence with 11-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, three closets, and the generous proportions of a classic prewar home. Recently painted throughout, the apartment begins with a gracious foyer before opening into a spacious living room with room for both living and dining. East and south exposures and multiple windows bring light into the main living space, with an open city outlook from the south-facing window.

The bedroom comfortably accommodates a king-size bed with room for additional furniture. A separate, windowed eat-in kitchen offers generous cabinetry and counter space, a gas range, full-size refrigerator, and enough room to create a casual dining or work area. The windowed bathroom retains its vintage tilework, black accent trim, and mosaic floor. Arched openings and substantial moldings add to the apartment's prewar character, while the well-defined rooms give the home a sense of space rarely found in newer one-bedroom layouts.

The Manhasset is a NYC landmark - it was completed in 1905 and stood for many years as the largest structure on Upper Broadway as it filled the entire west blockfront of Broadway from 108th to 109th, with separate entrances on both 108th Street and 109th Street. It is a pet-friendly cooperative that features a full time live in Superintendent, elevators, newly renovated laundry room, package room, overnight security guard, video/voice intercom, bike storage and fitness center - practical amenities that complement its historic character - and a truly spectacular, elegant and fully restored lobby. Washers/dryers allowed with Board permission. With Riverside Park and the Hudson River nearby, the Manhasset is a few short blocks from the nearby Columbia University campus, Cathedral of St John the Divine, shopping, dining, and other neighborhood conveniences. The 1 train at Cathedral Parkway-110th Street is less than 500 feet from the building.

Photographs show the apartment both vacant and virtually staged.
